about the director
Born in Lebanon in 1991, Cynthia is a Lebanese film director and screenwriter known for her thoughtful storytelling and creative approach to visual narratives. She holds a Master’s degree in Film Directing from University of Balamand and has developed a varied portfolio that includes music videos, commercials, short fiction, and documentaries. Cynthia’s films, such as the shorts “Congratulations” (2015) and “Red Wall” (2020), along with the VR immersive documentary “Dreaming of Lebanon,” which premiered at SXSW 2024, have resonated with audiences and critics. Her work reflects a blend of artistic vision and compelling narratives, contributing to her growing recognition in contemporary cinema.
